"Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry" (II Timothy 4:11)
The Deacon and Deaconess collectively form a deaconate and assist the pastor in the spiritual and administrative affairs of the church. The deaconate helps to free the pastor from the tasks not requiring special training, thus permitting pastoral time for greater responsibilities. The anointed tasks include preparing for and distributing the ordinance of the Lord's Supper; assisting in the ordinance of baptism; overseeing the Missions ministry, Music ministry, the Hospitality ministry and visitations.
Event Planning Ministry
Our team of creative minds that are always thinking of new and creative ways to promote fellowship among our congregants as well as the community. We plan social as well as worship events to promote the WORD and building of our LORD'S KINGDOM with a zeal.
This consists of group members whose mission is to minister to the needs of the Ebenezer Church family as well as the local, national and global community. This group meets monthly every first Saturday to coordinate outreach events. They serve under the premise that love is action and it gives to those who are in need.
Your gifts are not about you. Leadership is not about you. Your purpose is not about you. A life of significance is about serving others. We are committed inspiring the members of Ebenezer to use their spiritual gifts and talents to build the Kingdom of God.
Our Nursery Ministry has a mission to provide quality child care while families attend various worship services on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings (10:30 am Service). We serve families who have toddlers and preschoolers between the ages of 2-5 years old. All Nursery volunteers are screened through extensive background checks. If you are interested in volunteering with the Nursery or would like more information, please contact Amber Pride by phone (980-939-9728).
The Trustee ministry is designed to assist the pastor in the overseeing of the business of the church and the legal requirements of the church as an incorporated entity. A biblical equivalent would be that of a “steward.” The term is applied to those who are responsible for taking care of another's property, holdings, etc. The term trustee is used to designate those who have been entrusted with the responsibility to execute certain business proceedings on behalf of the church.
